All of our Massage Therapists are Registered with the College Of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), and active members of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario (RMATO). All services provided here at HTTC, are covered by most Extended Healthcare Plans.
Laura Laylor, RMT.
After suffering a whiplash injury from an auto accident 17 years ago, Laura became interested in the field of massage therapy. It was with the combined effort of an RMT and physiotherapist that released her from her pain and nursed her back to good health. A graduate of Canadian Therapeutic College, with an Honors Diploma in Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy, Laura's focus is on treatment-based therapy. She combines the use of Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Therapy, Joint Mobilizations and Acupressure to successfully treat a variety of conditions. Always looking for a challenge, she enjoys using various modalities and sports specific massage to attack what causes you pain and inhibits you from being your best. Experienced in Swedish massage, Laura is able to help with pain management from pregnancy, to birth, throughout life and into palliative care. She continues her training with a focus on utilizing her skills to assist Oncology patients manage their discomfort both during and post Cancer treatment and to help support their mental health and wellbeing throughout. In her spare time, she supports and raises awareness and funding for World Vision. Laura excels in her ability to customize a treatment plan specific to her clients ever changing needs, from gentle relaxation to deep tissue work, and enjoys testing her knowledge at her Milton Massage Clinic Healing Touch on a daily basis.
Evan Moore, RMT.
Evan graduated from Georgian College's Registered Massage Therapist program in Barrie in 2009. He is highly trained and qualified to provide therapeutic massage to those seeking treatment for a wide variety of health conditions. Evan knows the importance of maintaining balance within the body in his treatment sessions, and treats his clients with both deep tissue and relaxation massage based on the individual situation. He makes use of a number of techniques within his practice including trigger-point therapy, general Swedish and non-Swedish techniques, hydrotherapy applications and remedial exercises. It is his commitment to provide exceptional service and treatments of the highest quality ensuring a professional, ethical, and nurturing environment which promotes individuals to achieve personal wellness. Evan has taken specific courses in Indian Head Massage and is happy to add this modality to his list of tools. He is very excited to add his knowledge and insight to the Healing Touch RMT team. Evan is proud to be a part of the Big Brothers Program within the Halton School Board.
Leah Brighton, RMT.
Leah graduated from Trillium College and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). She is a dedicated therapist who is passionate about health and well being, and understands that the quality of everyday life is enhanced with pain-free living. She uses a variety of assessments and techniques to provide therapeutic massage tailored to the individual needs of her clients. With that in mind, her goal is to develop a thorough treatment plan suited to these individual needs and achieve lasting results through focused Deep Tissue Massage or Myofascial release, or relaxation. She is trained in Swedish techniques, non-Swedish techniques and is a certified Level 1Reiki Therapistas well is excited to add Cupping Therapy to her list of modalities that can be applied to any treatment plan.
Wanda Candolini RMT. SMT (C)
Wanda is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Sport Massage Therapist and has had the privilege of working coast to coast as a College Instructor, Provincial Examiner and Team Therapist for Junior A Hockey, Baseball, Lacrosse, Sears National Cyclists, Rugby to name a few, and as part of the Athletes Village Host Medical at the PanAm & Para-PanAm Games in Milton.
Prior to becoming a Massage Therapist, Wanda worked as a Residential Counselor and Teachers Assistant with Children and Adults with special needs. Massage Therapy treatments for children having the challenge of anxiety and sleeplessness can be effective and giving both parent and child a good night’s sleep. In early years, Wanda worked in a medical clinic for 10 years where she was on the front line of treating clients during pre/post op surgery and recovery from Breast Cancer. Further studies in Vodder Lymphatic Drainage helped provide optimal treatment.
Whether recovering from injury, surgery, or being proactive in maintaining your body’s optimum health Wanda promises to use her experience and training to make sure your treatment is tailored to you and your body’s needs.
